I will say, it was absolutely one our best ever.

I know many of you reading this think we a little mad. Maybe we are. But its worth it.

After we suffered in the infamous Kalahari heat the first 2 days we still enjoyed our last day and night at Twee Rivieren and surrounds.

In our last few days at Twee Rivieren we soaked in the scenery. We had had so many amazing and memorable experiences already.

We left Mata Mata just after sunrise. Ready for the second instalment of this summer holiday. We were ready for a change of scenery.

Our last 2 nights at Mata Mata was a stand out experience, our first close encounter with lions in the kgalagadi, something we only seen...

We left Nossob, always a little sad when you know you are moving on in your trip and adventure to the next and final part.

Augrabies Falls has a lot to offer. Wonderful scenic drives in the park and fabulous walks at the rest camp.

Both these wonderful places we have only had the ability (and guts) to visit in Winter and we have never camped... until this year...

In such a technology driven world today, getting our kids off screens is a daily struggle, much as it can be for ourselves.

Ebb and Flow rest camp is divided by the Touws river, one of a few in the region. Bird life and nature at its best!
